New Company Name
To world we were GearScout for the last 6 years, and now OREITHYIA. Why change? For starters it simply came down to domain name. For years I tried to obtain gearscout.com. I didn’t like gearscout.org because we’re not an organization and we were constantly confused with Military Times blog GearScout. After many months searching for a cool new name, I discovered OREITHYIA, which I really love.
OREITHYIA (or Orithyia) was the mountain Nymph wife of Boreas, God of the north wind. OREITHYIA means mountain gale and she is the goddess of chill mountain winds. The description couldn’t sum our business better, since we am hired to protect clients from such winds and harsh weather.
